I'm motivated, and I get results! Being self-employed requires a driven mindset to succeed. I’ve operated my own businesses for the past 18 years, and I know what it takes to build and grow a brand. I have a long and varied work history starting with an early career for Radisson Hotels International, before deciding to pursue my true career passion in marketing and sales. I made my start in marketing over 25 years ago working for a local newspaper in their Business Development Department. We managed all promotions, public relations, and special events for the publication, including the popular, local "Concerts in the Park" series, which still thrives today.
Soon after building upon that experience, I was recruited by a local advertising agency that took a chance on me, and helped elevate my marketing and management skills to the next level. That company began as a small start-up with minimal staff, and eventually flourished into a successful, multi-million dollar organization. We managed print and digital media buying for hundreds of advertisers across a nationwide network of print and online publications. I worked there for more than nine years, making my way from ad coordinator to assistant director, before setting out on my own entrepreneurial journey in real estate where I thrived for more than 15 years.
Today I perform freelance marketing and sales support for local businesses of all types. I operate two small businesses, and I oversee the development and promotion of both. My main areas of expertise include business development, marketing strategy, lead generation and advertising optimization, although I have a varied list of other skills as you will see on my resume. I love to help businesses identify challenges and solve problems, and I enjoy sharing my expertise with others while also developing new skills. From temporary projects to long-term assignments, I am always open to a range of job opportunities within Sacramento and beyond (via remote work).
In my free time I enjoy traveling, and I visit international destinations each year. I am also a wine and food enthusiast, and I love touring the various wine regions of California. This passion led me to starting one of my current businesses in the Northern California wine country. My other interests include music, art, design, architecture, stock trading and dog fostering. All in all, I’m adventurous, authentic, and I have a wicked sense of humor. I love interacting with people, and I’m able to fit in with a variety of personalities and teams.
